Woke up this morning after a fairly sucessful birthday party at my friend’s apartment. Prior to the party I’d tried Ethiopian food for the first time and discovered how utterly delicious it is. Anyway. Feeling head-achy and slightly sick, I stumbled to my dresser to begin the process of attempting to look like a human being so as not to freak out the freshmen when I go to brunch with my suitemates.
The drawer I keep my jeans in is open. Weird. I pull out a pair.
They are soaking wet.
I pull out another pair.
Also soaked.
Whatthafuck.
The entire drawer of jeans is soaked.
I have absolutely no recollection of how this happened. This is the only drawer affected. There’s no ceiling leak. There is no water anywhere in my room. My Brita water filter has just as much water as it always has, and hasn’t moved an inch.
My friend suggested that while in whatever state I was in last night I must have decided my jeans looked dehydrated and needed a drink. I, also, can come to no other conclusion. Except maybe ghosts.
